OUR VINYL WEIGHS A TON:
THIS IS STONES THROW RECORDS
2013 Premiere Los Angeles Film Festival

"Full of inspired detours and colorful non sequiturs, Jeff Broadway's music documentary will be greeted as a godsend by hardcore hip-hop fans." [Variety]

"...Mirrors the rhythms and life of the records that Stones Throw has produced. Inventive camerawork combined with smooth editing and an eclectic mix of material keeps the movie rolling along. You don't have to be a hip-hop aficionado or much of a music fan to be entranced by the compelling story and intimate remembrances." [LA Magazine]

With a soundtrack by Madlib, this full-length feature film about avant-garde Los Angeles-based record label Stones Throw Records, draws on live concert footage, never-before-seen archival material, inner-circle home video and photographs, and in-depth interviews with the folks who put Stones Throw on the map, in order to delve deeper into the label's enigmatic artists, history, culture and global following.

Cast members include Stones Throw staples such as Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, MF DOOM, Mayer Hawthorne and Dam-Funk, as well as other artists such as Kanye West, ?uestlove, Talib Kweli, Common, Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Ariel Pink, Geoff Barrow, Flying Lotus and A-Trak.

Premiering at the LA Film Festival in 2013, Sydneysiders can now see the locally as we premiere it on January 15 at Metro Screen.
