Direct from the filmmaker Patrick Buchanan for its Sydney Premiere, comes the doco about legendary music innovators THE ORB, that many have been waiting for. Groovescooter present LUNAR ORBIT for the 2017 Sydney Underground Film Festival, a personal probe into the unique inner workings of producers Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann, who together continue to make music that resonates with a world wide audience and continues to defy categorisation. From their seminal 1991 LP The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld (widely recogniseed as one of the truly great electronic albums of all time) to the Berlin recording sessions for Moonbuilding 2703AD, this film takes you right into the creative process as well as offering insights into the personalities behind the music, their motivations and their history with unprecedented studio access, rare unseen archive material, live footage and even kitchen table chats.
